When Does the System Send Alerts?

Examples of emergency situations in which AKIS will alert you immediately:

🔥Fire or building evacuationShow ▾
You will receive this SMS: WARNING! Fire detected in Aspira Business Centre, please evacuate the building immediately! Use the nearest marked emergency exit!

Evacuation procedure

  1. Recognise the alarm: As soon as the fire siren sounds or you receive an evacuation SMS from AKIS, stop whatever you are doing immediately.
  2. Stay calm: Remain calm and do not cause panic. Your calm behaviour is key to a successful evacuation. Collect your personal belongings if you have them with you and get dressed. Check that the route is clear and safe.
  3. Leave the building: Do not lock the room behind you and head immediately to the nearest emergency exit. Look for escape route signage or evacuation plans posted on the walls.
  4. Do not use the lifts: During an evacuation never use the lifts; always use the stairs, even if you are on a higher floor. Lifts may be out of service during an emergency.
  5. Follow the instructions of the fire marshals and the Integrated Rescue System (IRS): Fire marshals will wear yellow reflective vests and will direct you to the evacuation routes. Follow their instructions without unnecessary questions or delay.
  6. Assembly point: After leaving the building, go to the designated assembly point under the stairs by the EXPLORA building. Do not linger by the building and do not block access routes for the emergency services. Wait at the assembly point for further instructions.
  7. No re-entry: Do not return to the building until the evacuation has been officially called off and you have received a clear instruction from the responsible persons that it is safe to return.
